A TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) calculator estimates the total calories you burn each day by multiplying your BMR by an activity multiplier. Activity levels range from sedentary to very active, each corresponding to a researched multiplier.
TDEE is the daily calorie level at which you maintain your current weight. Eating below TDEE creates a deficit for weight loss; eating above creates a surplus for muscle gain.
